Badr al Samaa Hospital, Barka inaugurated.
The first of its kind private healthcare facility in South Batinah, Badr al Samaa Hospital Barka, an 80-bedded fully equipped hospital was inaugurated by H E Sheikh Saad bin Mohammed bin Said al Mardhouf al Sa’adi, Minister of Sports Affairs, at a grand launch ceremony held recently.
Dr Mazin Jawad al Khabouri, Director General of Private Health Establishments was the guest of honour, a press release said.
The event was attended by dignitaries from the Omani government, its public administration, embassies, corporate houses, insurance companies and social organisations.
Those present included H E Sheikh Hilal bin Said al Hajri, Governor of South Batinah, Sheikh Abdullah Mohammed al Bukhar, Wali of Barka, Sheikh Mohammed Ali al Ghofaili, Wali of Wadi al Mawal, Shura Council members from Barka Salim Sa’ad al Malaki and Dr Salim Salam al Rashidi, and Dr Mohammed Khalifa al Abri, Director General of Health Services, South Batinah.
Board of Directors of Badr al Samaa Group – P A Mohammed, Dr V T Vinod and Abdul Latheef took the dignitaries around the facility. The ten-year old polyclinic was redeveloped and upgraded to the refurbished 80-bedded hospital to cater to the growing healthcare needs of people in South Batinah, they said.
H E Sa’adi and Dr Khabouri expressed satisfaction over the new facility and their faith in Badr al Samaa Group of Hospitals.
The expanded facilities include state-of-the-art imaging equipment and services with provision for cardiac care and all major and minor surgeries.
Three renovated, state-of-the- art operation theatres have been provided, equipped to handle all kinds of general, orthopaedic, urological, neurological, gynaecological, ENT and ophthalmic cases.
In addition, the hospital has a modern Endoscopy Suite, Labour Suite, CCU, MICU, Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and CT scan facilities.
