Ashok Leyland plans joint venture in Argentina

Chennai: Commercial vehicle manufacturing company, Ashok Leyland, is planning to set up a joint venture in Argentina.
The firm is disucssing with Grupo Plaza in Argentina for setting up a plant.

The proposed joint venture will produce buses and trucks in Argentina.

Grupo Plaza (the Plaza Group) is a large public transportation company in Argentina. It owns both inter-city and intra-city buses.

It has four companies operating long distance buses and twenty intra-city bus services. In addition, it also operates train services.
