"Adani-IHC JV Acquires Cloud Platform Company to Expand Data Centre Offerings".
Sirius Digitech, a joint venture between Adani Global and International Holding Company, has acquired the cloud platform company Coredge.io to expand its data center operations with enhanced cloud and artificial intelligence solutions.
Coredge.io offers secure and compliant cloud services for AI applications, safeguarding data sovereignty. It has clients in Japan, Singapore, and India. Sirius Digitech has acquired a 77.5% stake in the company at ₹20,000 per share. The acquisition will enable Sirius Digitech to provide cloud services that empower organizations to leverage sovereign cloud innovations while retaining sensitive data within their national borders, according to a company release.
Although the total deal value was not disclosed, sources indicated it was around ₹46 crore. "As nations increasingly prioritize data security, it is more important than ever that organizations have the option to retain their data within national borders rather than relying solely on the public cloud," said Jeet Adani, Director of the Adani Group. He emphasized that the acquisition would put AI capabilities directly in the hands of organizations needing specialized sovereign cloud services for AI training and inferencing.
Coredge.io has an innovative approach to sovereign cloud technology, offering highly secure, scalable, and AI-ready cloud solutions tailored for government and enterprise clients. It aims to build a complete solution stack for sovereign data centers, including everything from bare metal servers to services like Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) and Platform as a Service (PaaS) built on open-source technologies. This will enable Sirius Digitech to provide Machine Learning as a Service (MLaaS) as applications are built on its infrastructure.
