Officials told to call tenders for Bhairavani Tippa project.

Minister for Information and Housing K. Srinivasulu directed the officials to call the tenders immediately for the execution of Bhairavani Tippa Irrigation Project and complete its works by December 2018.

At a review meeting here, the Minister said the State government had earmarked ₹ 968.89 crore for the project and also gave the administrative sanction.

Stating that the project would provide irrigation facility to about 12,000 acres in Rayadurgam Assembly constituency and would stabilise as many as 10,323 acres of ayacut in Kalyanadurga Assembly constituency, Mr. Srinivasulu said Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu was according priority gto the irrigation sector and was personally supervising all the works.

He warned officials against being lethargic in execution of works and asked them to complete them within stipulated time.

“Start execution of works immediately after completing the tender formalities and finish them by the end of the year,” the Minister asked officials.

The Minister also reviewed irrigation works of HNSS under 36 packages and enquired about possibility of providing water to D. Heerelal mandal in the district.
