Crompton Greaves bags two orders to set up power substations overseas.

Avantha Group firm Crompton Greaves (CG) recently said that it has bagged orders to set up two power substations overseas.

'CG has bagged two important orders, one for 8 bays of 138kV, 60Hz, AIS Switchyard in the Philippines for MINERGY Coal Corporation and the other for 30 MVA, 132kV mobile substations for Wellington Turbines, a Venezuelan enterprise,' the company said in a BSE filing.

The company secured the orders through competitive international bidding process.

The scope of work for both projects includes design, manufacture, supply, construction and installation and commissioning of the substations.

The project in Philippines will be executed by September 2015. It will facilitate power transmission to the Philippines grid through 3 X 55MW coal fired thermal power projects, being installed by MINERGY Coal Corporation.
