India's Medanta to open 250-bed hospital in Dubai Healthcare City.
Dubai Healthcare City (DHCC) has announced plans to establish the first UAE-based hospital of India's healthcare provider Medanta - The Medicity.
The Medicity will be setting up the multi-specialty hospital as a joint venture between its holding company, Global Health, and a company promoted by India-based industrialist Ravi Jaipuria and Dubai-based businessman, Murari Jalan.
To be located in DHCC Phase 1, the new Medanta Hospital will have a capacity of approximately 250 beds, and will cater to a broad range of specialties.
The announcement on the construction of the new hospital project was made on the sidelines of Arab Health 2015 and is expected to be operational by Q1 2017.
Medanta - The Medicity was first established in 2009 in Gurgaon, India and it includes specialized service like cardiology, orthopedics, neurology, oncology, and liver and renal transplants, among others.
