60% of Rashid Hospital's Trauma Centre expansion completed.
The Dubai Health Authority (DHA) announced that 60 percent of the expansion works at Rashid Hospital's Trauma and Emergency Center has been completed. The center will have 160 beds and is valued at USD 43 million.
Phase 1 of the Rashid Hospital expansion master plan involves the expansion of the trauma center, which is expected to be completed by May 2015.
The USD 816 million, master plan also includes 6 specialized health centers, a 4-star and another 5-star hotel, villas and flats for staff accommodation, a mosque and open spaces for children.
In addition, the plan also includes rebuilding the main hospital into three towers with a total capacity of 900 beds.
