Construction of Saudi substations awarded to Isolux Corsan.

Spanish construction firm, Isolux Corsan, has been awarded the construction of two 115 kV substations in the city of Al Hassa, Saudi Arabia.

The USD 40 million project was awarded by Saudi Arabia’s National Grid, which includes the construction of two substations and the modification of the existing Al-Uqair substation.

The works cover designing, supplying materials, testing and commissioning the two substations. The company will also provide equipment for the automation systems.

This is the first project assigned to Isolux Corsan in Saudi Arabia and is expected to be completed within about 2 years and 3 months.

The company is currently working on the expansion of the Bidbid South Freeway in Oman and building 17 km of 300 kV transmission lines in Kuwait, valued at USD 212 million and USD 98 million respectively.
