Orissa to have new IT park

Orissa to have new IT park Bhubaneswar: Orissa Government has proposed to develop a IT park near Jatni-Khurda region and will house the Infovalley (Infocity II) in
the area.

The state government has already submitted a the proposal to the Centre , envisaging delineation of an area spread over 10,000 acres in 27 villages under Bhubaneswar and Jatni tehsils in Khurda district.

The project has a potential to attract investment worth over Rs 15,000 crore. Besides this Rs 2,260 crore will be spent on creating the social and physical infrastructure.

It will provide 2.37 lakh peopole with direct and indirect employment in the IT, ITES, electronic hardware manufacturing (EHM) units and educational institutions that will come up in the region. State-owned Idco and IL&FS will prepare the detailed project report.
