TCL to develop operations in West Asia

Mumbai: Tata Communications (TCL) will invest around US$ 200 million for the developing its telecom operations in West Asia over the next two years.

Tata Communications and Tyco Telecommunications will team up with five firms for building the TGN Gulf cable system for increasing its advanced telecommunications services.

Bahrain Internet Exchange, Oman's Nawras, Qatar Telecom, Saudi Arabia's Mobily and United Arab Emirates' Etisalat are the other firms involved in the project.
