Hind Glass to develop new unit

Hyderabad: Hindusthan National Glass & Industries has planned to establish a container glass and float glass manufacturing base in Naidupet of Nellore district in Andhra Pradesh.

Work on the project will commence by April this year and completed by mid-2012. The construction of the float glass plant with a capacity of 600 tonnes a day will commence in early 2012 and is likely to be completed by 2014.

In addition, work on the second container glass plant will start by 2014 and production by mid-2016. According to plans, in the first phase, the container glass plant will produce 450 tonnes a day, providing direct and indirect employment to about 1,500 people.
